Common Questions and Problems
You can find the Raily 4 manuals online for Windows and for MacOS.
- How can I tell if I have the latest updates?
Windows Version
The easiest way is to run the update program. If it says 'Your RAILY is up to date', you have all updates installed. The update program can be found in the Raily 4 SE program group in the Windows start menu.
Mac OSX Version
Raily checks whenever it is started if there is a newer version. (Make sure you did not turn off that option).

- Turning a selection with the K and L keys doesn't work.
Turning with "K" and "L" will not work unless there is an object in 'drag mode'. To get the selection into drag mode, klick and drag it with the mouse and keep the mouse button pressed while hitting the "K" or "L" key. The angle of rotation can be chosen in the plan settings.
- Inventory list is not stored.
There can be multiple inventory lists, but they have to be loaded and stored explicitly. To do this, press the store / load button on the inventory tab.
- Fleischmann tracks are missing.
Several Fleischmann elements have different catalog numbers (especially switches). One number references a pair of switches, the other the individual element. In Raily there is no pair number, since this could lead to misunderstandings.
- Gradients change with drag and drop in 2D mode.
After clicking OK, the slope is created. If you move the slope in 2D mode and connect it to another element, the incline(C) will change.
This is intended behaviour. The dragged element is turned horizontal, affecting all attached elements of the slope. If you plan to drag
a slope, please add a horizontal element in front of it.
